Refunds Policy

Around Travel strives to provide exceptional travel booking and reservation services tailored to your wants and needs. We understand that plans may change, and you may need to cancel or modify your bookings.

We have outlined the procedures and fees associated with cancellations, as well as any potential refunds or credits.

Cancellation Deadlines

Timing is extremely important and therefore we outline specific deadlines for different types of bookings, from flights to hotel reservations and package tours. Keep informed of these deadlines to understand cancellations and to minimize any potential fees.

Booking Type Cancellation Deadline
Flights Each airline differs. Please refer to the airline cancellation policy upon flight booking.
Hotel Reservations Each hotel has a different cancellation policy. Please refer to the hotel upon reservation.

Cancellation is typically allowed 48 – 72 hours before check-in dates.

Scheduled Tours Scheduled tours will typically communicate cancellation policies upon reservation

Flights: Cancellation policies are subject to each airline. Please refer to the airline’s cancellation policy upon reservation. Typically, for flight bookings, cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time. If you cancel within 24 hours of departure, you may be subject to airline cancellation fees.

Hotel Reservations: Hotel reservation cancellation deadlines differ depending on the property and rate type. Generally, cancellations must be made at least 48 to 72 hours before the check-in date to avoid penalties. Non-refundable hotel reservations are exempt from cancellation and do not qualify for any refunds. Please refer to the hotel’s cancellation policy.

Scheduled Tours: Scheduled tours, including guided tours and vacation packages, will communicate cancellation deadlines at the time of booking. Please refer to your booking confirmation for specific details regarding cancellation deadlines and fees.

Cancellation Fees

Cancellation fees depend on a variety of factors, including booking type and cancellation timing.

Booking Type Cancellation Fees
Flights Cancellation fees vary by airline, fare type, and cancellation timing.
Hotel Reservations Cancellation fees are determined by the hotel or property and may vary according to the rate type and cancellation deadline. Some hotels offer free cancellation up to a certain deadline, while others may charge a penalty equivalent to one night’s stay or the full booking amount.
Scheduled Tours Cancellation fees for scheduled tours are outlined in the tour itinerary or terms and conditions provided at the time of booking. Depending on the operator and timing of cancellation, you may be subject to forfeiture of a portion or all of the tour cost.

Non-Refundable Bookings

The implications of choosing non-refundable booking options differ from other booking types. This is what to expect if you need to cancel or modify your non-refundable booking.

Booking Type Implications
Flights Certain flight fares, such as basic economy or promotional fares, may be non-refundable and non-changeable. These fares typically offer the lowest prices but come with strict cancellation policies.
Hotel Reservations Non-refundable hotel reservations are available at a discounted rate but do not allow for cancellations or changes. Once booked, these reservations are considered final, and no refunds will be issued in the event of cancellation.
Scheduled Tours Some package tours may offer non-refundable pricing options at lower rates. These bookings are subject to the same cancellation policies as standard bookings and do not qualify for refunds or credits.

Refunds and Credit Options

It essential to understand your options for receiving a refund or credit in the event of a cancellation. Please refer to the airline, hotel, or tour operator for information regarding the process for obtaining refunds for flights, hotel reservations, and scheduled tours, as well as any credit vouchers applicable.

Booking Modifications

Travel plans may change, and bookings may need to be modified. We have included a section on modifying flights, hotel reservations and scheduled tours, including potential fees and possible restrictions.

Booking Type Options
Flights Change Fee: Airlines typically charge a change fee per ticket, in addition to any fare difference, when modifying flight dates, times, or routes. The fee varies depending on the airline and fare type.

Flexible Fare: Some airlines offer flexible fare options that allow changes without incurring change fees. These fares may be more expensive initially but afford greater flexibility for changes to your travel plans.

NOTE:

Changes may be subject to airline fees and fare differences, and availability is not guaranteed.

Hotel Reservations Date Changes: Depending on availability and the hotel’s policies, you may be able to alter the dates of your reservation without penalty. However, changes made close to the check-in date may result in additional charges.

Room Upgrades: If you wish to upgrade to a different room type or add amenities to your reservation, please contact the hotel directly to inquire about availability and any additional fees.

NOTE:

Changes to hotel reservations are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

Scheduled Tours Date Changes: Some tour operators may allow changes to tour dates, subject to availability and any applicable change fees. Contact Around Travel Pte or the tour operator directly to discuss options for modifying your tour itinerary.

Optional Activities: Around Travel Pte can assist if you wish to add or remove optional activities from your tour package. Additional charges may apply for added activities or excursions.

NOTE:
Changes are subject to availability and may result in additional fees or adjustments to the tour cost.

Travel Insurance

Around Travel Pte highly recommends purchasing travel insurance to protect you should any unexpected event or emergency take place that may necessitate cancellation or interruption.

Insurance Coverage Includes:

  • Trip Cancellation Coverage: Travel insurance can provide coverage for trip cancellation in case of unforeseen events such as illness, injury, or death of a traveller or a family member. Coverage can reimburse you for prepaid, non refundable expenses should you need to cancel your trip for a covered reason.
  • Emergency Medical Coverage: Travel insurance typically covers emergency medical expenses incurred while travelling, including hospital stays, doctor visits, and medical evacuation. This coverage can help alleviate financial burdens associated with unexpected medical emergencies abroad.
  • Trip Interruption Coverage: If your trip is interrupted or cut short due to unforeseen circumstances, including natural disasters or a family emergency, travel insurance reimburses you for unused travel expenses and additional transportation costs to return home.
  • Lost or Delayed Baggage: Travel insurance includes coverage for lost, stolen, or delayed baggage, reimbursing you for essential items purchased during the delay and compensation for lost or damaged belongings. Coverage can help alleviate the inconvenience and financial losses associated with luggage mishaps while travelling.

Around Travel Pte is an intermediary service and cannot assist with booking cancellations or changes. Please contact the airline, accommodation or tour provider for cancellation information.
