Hampton Court is always a nice place to visit went with our friends and they throughly enjoyed themselves the only disappointment was that we had to pay double to see the car show

It was great to tour most of the Tudor palace areas from arrival at 11 am, after coffee at the Tiltyard Cafe. We returned there for a tasty lunch, though there's another cafe inside the Palace. Garden planting there reflected the original jousting site. We explored the huge Tudor Kitchens, then on to other areas linked with Hrnry VIII such as his living area, featuring historic portraits by Holbein and followers. Don't miss the Royal Chapel and the huge Banqueting Hall. To do justice to the rest of the Palace, the elegant Georgian side and the Gardens, we would need another day. I am slightly disabled so appreciated the number of benches available in the courtyards and inside. We enjoyed a perfect September day and left at 4 pm. The R68 red London bus stops near the Palace & links with SW Trains at Richmond/Twickenham.
