London's Maritime Gems with Cutty Sark Ticket

Unlock the past and embark on a journey through maritime history with our In-App Audio Tour, starting at the iconic Cutty Sark, where your ticket is already included. Designed for explorers of all ages, this tour weaves through the heart of maritime Greenwich, a place brimming with sea-faring tales and architectural wonders. The tour kicks off at the Cutty Sark, the famous tea clipper that's now a fascinating museum, and includes stops at bustling Greenwich Market, the National Maritime Museum with its playful exhibits, and the star-gazing Royal Observatory. From past to present, the route connects these historical gems in a seamless thread, ending with the grandeur of the Old Royal Naval College. Along the way, step onto the Prime Meridian at Greenwich Park, where East meets West, and get up close with the artistry of Queen's House and the Painted Hall. Each stop offers a unique glimpse into the area's rich heritage. While this journey gives a comprehensive view of Greenwich, remember, while the included Cutty Sark entry permits you to admire the ship's sturdy hull and discover its stories, the audio tour focuses on guiding you through the surrounding area and does not provide commentary inside the ship itself.

Before I begin to report on the tour, I must thank the ticket desk especially Chris Foulds (? ) who miraculously enabled our entry after my Talktalk booking failed as I was unable to produce the barcode. Hey presto, he sorted it, thank you most sincerely. The tour was most interesting, designed to keep children interested with lots of hands on activities, whilst we listened to the short videos, opened the drawers revealing sailors lives, looked at the expert restoration, looked inside living quarters and then watched brave visitors climb the rigging, expertly supervised by trained crew. All in all fabulous, and done within the hour. Next port of call, explore the shop! 😂

We were in London for a short time. This was a good experience. I had visited the Cutty Sark in the 80s, before the fire and this was a much improved experience. Loved all the interactive activities and the background information. The cafe gave us a much needed refreshment before we continued our day on a sightseeing boat.
